The mission of the FHRC is to work with members of the climbing public to receive applications for installation of new fixed anchors, evaluate and, if necessary, revise those applications and ultimately conduct a vote of its members and the public to recommend or reject them.  Final authority to approve a new route rests with Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks.

Current FHRC Committee members are listed below, they serve a two year term.

Fixed Hardware Pilot Program

A pilot program for the placement of new fixed anchors was developed by the Flatirons Climbing Council (FCC). The program establishes a permit process that allows the climbing community to comment on proposed routes that require fixed gear, and is similar to the fixed hardware review process in Eldorado Canyon.
